Abstract. This research was motivated by students' low understanding of mathematical concepts in solving a problem. This research analyzes students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in interest and annuity material. The purpose of this research is to determine students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in interest and annuity material. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were students of class XI AKL 3 SMK Negeri 2 Padang. The research instruments used were concept understanding tests, interviews and documentation.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan suatu masalah. Penelitian ini menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi bunga dan anuitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi bunga dan anuitas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI AKL 3 SMK Negeri 2 Padang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes pemahaman konsep, wawancara dan dokumentasi .
